Local News — Area drivers will need to be on the lookout for cyclists sharing Moore County roads on Oct. 5-6 during the annual Bike to Jack and Back .
On Saturday, cyclist will begin in Franklin and will continue south through Eagleville, Unionville, and Shelbyville before heading toward Lynchburg. Once in Moore County, cyclist will travel New Herman Road and County Line Road before they hit Highway 55 at the intersection of Highway 82. The ride will end with events at Jack Daniel Distillery, who sponsors the ride. Cyclists should be off Moore County roads by 4 p.m. on Saturday.
On Sunday at around 7:30 a.m., riders will reverse this path as they head back to Franklin.
Bike to Jack and Back is sponsored by Bike MS, a fundraising cycling series of the National MS Society, and the Mid South chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Route distances vary from 15 to 150 miles. Bike to Jack and Back offers two different routes: a 60 mile ride and an 80 mile ride.
