ARTS & CULTURE | Tullahoma — Think back to your most vivid childhood memories. Those surrounding Halloween often stick out … creating a jack-o-lantern, picking out your costume, rolling yards with friends. This year, create a memory you can revisit year after year with a Halloween-themed painting class at local art gallery, The Painted House. They’ll offer several during the month of October:

Pre-school Candy Corn Class on Friday, Oct. 4 from 9-10 a.m. • Kids will paint a cool candy corn on a 18 x 24 stretch canvas (and if it’s okay with mom and dad, get to eat a few candy corns while they paint.) Class appropriate for kids ages three and up. Cost is $40.

This class will repeat on Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. or 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. for kids aged kindergarten and up. Instructors will add palette knife and splatter techniques for older kids. Cost is $25.

Kid’s Sugar Skull Class on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. or 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. • Students will paint a folk arty sugar skull on a 8×8 stretch canvas. Class is for ages 7 and up. Cost is $35.

Sugar Skull Sip & Stroke • That class will repeat on Friday, October 25 at 6 p.m. for an adult’s Sip & Stroke class. Students over the age of 21 are welcome to bring adult beverages. Instructors will add glitter techniques to this class. Cost is $35.

Kid’s Halloween Triple Threat on Wednesday, Oct.16 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 to 5 p.m.| Kids ages 5 and up can paint Halloween-themed images like jack-o-lanterns, witches, ghosts, and others on a 10 x 30 canvas divided into three areas. Cost is $40.
